A versatile and deeply expressive guitarist, Martin Metzger combines elements of Flamenco, Jazz and other World Music into his performances. The results are both moving and inspiring, creating an energy that enlightens and delights the soul of the listener. Over the last 35 years, Martin has performed and recorded with many diverse ensembles (see past projects). His current travels to Spain assisted him in deepening his understanding and love for flamenco and the flamenco guitar. Martin performs often at house concerts, weddings, corporate events, parties and other events either as a soloist or with this current groups. Martin’s current flamenco trio features Patricia Ortega/voice and Marisela Tapia/dance.
Martin currently performs with The Martin Metzger Flamenco Quartet, The Martin Metzger Flamenco-Jazz Ensemble, The Martin Metzger Afro- Cuban Jazz Ensemble, and The Martin Metzger/John Moulder Guitar Duo. Martin also performs as a Soloist and as a Freelance Musician.
