Domenico Savio Mottola (born in 1993) studied guitar with Fabio Mastroianni, Marco Caiazza, Vincenzo Amabile, Frèderic Zigante, under the guidance of whom he graduated with full mark, honors and special mention at the Conservatory A. Vivaldi in Alessandria.
He attended separate master classes with Aniello Desiderio, Leo Brouwer, Marcin Dylla, Lorenzo Micheli, Manuel Barrueco, Judicael Perroy, Adriano del Sal.
He has been awarded in more than 30 International competitions including:
First prize, audience prize and prize for the best interpretation of Francisco Tarrega' works at
53 International Guitar Competition Francisco Tarrega in Benicassim;
First prize at Premio Nazionale delle Arti;
First prize at the international guitar competition Niccolò Paganini in Parma;
First prize at the international guitar competition in Mottola (Italy);
First prize at the XVIII International Guitar Competition in Comarca el Condado (Andalucia);
First prize and special prize for the best interpretation of a XIX century piece at Ruggero
Chiesa International Guitar competition.
Domenico won the Golden Guitar in 2018 as young promise and in 2020 as revelation of the year at the International Guitar Convention of Milan and Alessandria.
His first album "Sueño" was released in July 2020 and distributed by "Contrastes Records".
The album is focused on the music by F. Tarrega and M. Llobet.
He performed in several cultural events as soloist, also with Orchestra, in Croatia, Finland, Italy, Spain, Russia, Bosnia ed Erzegovina, Austria, Estonia, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Poland.
He has been a jury member in international competitions and is in high demand to teach masterclasses in prestigious festivals.
He combines his performing career with his wellattended teaching profession at Conservatory of Benevento (Italy).
